Groups and associations

The Probate Section is one of the four Law Society Sections – self-governing, committee-led membership associations. Established in 1997, the Section focuses on wills, financial planning, trusts, tax planning, Court of Protection, care planning and estate administration. Products and services include:

• Magazine with up to 12 hours free CPD per year.
• E-newsletter 10 times per year with case law updates.
• A number of publications, including PS Yearbook, PS Software Guide and Charities as Beneficiaries.

• Free CPD accredited regional seminars.

Membership is open to solicitors and trainee solicitors with associate membership available to Fellows of the Institute of Legal Executives (FILEXs).
